What this site is
Selank Source is a keyed sourcebook for the Selank literature — the peer-reviewed research read at its origin and reported, claim by claim, against the record. It is a sourcebook, not a service. No clinic sits behind the console, no pharmacy, no supplier; the site makes nothing, dispenses nothing, and sells nothing. It offers no diagnosis, no dosing, and no medical guidance, and no clinicians work here. Every statement is a summary of published science mapped to a numbered source.
The “Source” in the name describes a stance toward the literature — reading the published record at its origin and reporting what it says — not a claim to supply, sell, or dispense anything. Nothing is offered here, and nothing is endorsed.
How we read the evidence
Our editorial posture is verification-minded. Where a claim is genuinely measured and cited — the positive allosteric modulation of GABA binding [1], the human-plasma enkephalinase IC50 [2], the rat hippocampal BDNF increase [3], the GABA-pathway gene shift [4], the Russian clinical anxiolytic reports [6] — we report it as such. Where the record is thin, we say so plainly rather than rounding it up.
The honest gap in the Selank literature is stated openly on every relevant page: the great majority of studies come from a small set of Russian research groups, often in Russian-language journals with English abstracts, with limited independent Western replication, and the human pharmacokinetics of the intact peptide are poorly characterized [6]. We treat the cited mechanisms as real and the breadth of human evidence as preliminary.
What we do not do
We do not recommend doses. We do not tell anyone what to take, and we present the doses and routes from published studies only as descriptions of that research. We do not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing on this site is a substitute for evaluation by a qualified professional. Selank is not approved by the FDA or EMA and, in the United States, is sold only as a research chemical and described here strictly in research contexts [6] — a fact we report rather than promote. We do not name or compare commercial drug brands; we use scientific compound names only.
Corrections and standards
Every quantitative claim on this site maps to a numbered source in our Selank references list, with PubMed IDs and DOIs where available. If a citation is later found to be misattributed or a finding is superseded, our standard is to correct the page rather than leave it standing. The aim is a calm, accurate, well-sourced reading of the Selank record — including the parts of that record that are uncertain.
